Dr. Kimberlee Henry
Dr. Kimberlee Henry is a passionate advocate for transforming lives through learning. With over two decades of experience, she has been instrumental in fostering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging practices (DEIB) within educational systems across New England and beyond. Her career spans a range of leadership roles from Teacher to School Principal and District Administrator, consistently driven by her commitment to creating equitable learning environments.
Dr. Henry’s expertise is rooted in her academic journey, which includes a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University, specializing in Equity and Social Justice, and a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Urban Education and Literacy. She integrates her deep understanding of DEIB practices with real-world experience, positioning her as a thought leader in building inclusive frameworks within schools, districts, and community organizations.
As the Founder and CEO of REC Advisory Group, Dr. Henry extends her impact internationally through specialized consulting, mentorship, and professional tour services across Africa and the Caribbean. Her work supports the development of initiatives that address institutional biases, promote culturally responsive frameworks, and create pathways for systemic change. Dr. Henry has been pivotal in driving REC’s mission to expand equitable practices and to connect and support communities through culturally-responsive programming and exchange initiatives.
Dr. Henry’s efforts are grounded in her personal commitment to equity, shaped by her own journey as a Black woman in education. She integrates theory and practice to deliver comprehensive workshops and training on social justice, cultural humility, and community engagement. Dr. Henry’s passion drives her mission to create inclusive, equitable learning environments that empower educators, students and professionals globally.
Dr. Louise Michelle Vital
Dr. Louise Michelle Vital, a first-generation American and daughter of Haitian immigrants, brings over two decades of educational and professional experience to REC Advisory Group. She holds a PhD in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (Research Cognate: Latin America and the Caribbean; Graduate Certificate: International Development), along with a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan University. Dr. Vital earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and African American Studies with a concentration in Social Policy from Simmons College. Dr. Vital has served in academic leadership roles, including Director of the International Higher Education Program at Lesley University and currently as Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Boston University.
Dr. Vital's research emphasizes equity in higher education, focusing on marginalized communities and internationalization. Her academic portfolio includes numerous peer-reviewed publications and book contributions. In line with REC’s mission of promoting culturally sustaining pedagogy and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging practices (DEIB), Dr. Vital incorporates critical reflexivity and global interconnectedness across her work. Dr. Vital has been recognized with several awards, including the Afro Caribbean Black History Award from the Authentic Caribbean Foundation (2021) and the Dr. Sheltreese D. McCoy Advocacy Award from the Coalition of Sexuality and Gender Identities, ACPA (2020). She extends her expertise beyond academia by exploring creative writing and poetry, and in her leisure time, Dr. Vital enjoys live theatre and musical performances, and community service.
Gabriel Telfer
With nearly two decades of experience in security coordination and international travel management, Gabriel Telfer brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to REC Advisory Group. Currently serving as Security Coordinator at IBM Ghana, Gabriel oversees corporate security needs, provides strategic insights for decision-making, and plays a vital role in ensuring safe and seamless travel experiences for expatriates and executives. His work includes coordinating secure accommodations, logistics, and concierge services that prioritize safety, comfort, and efficiency across borders.
Gabriel’s professional experience includes conducting in-depth security assessments of international travel sites, such as hotels, office spaces, and storage facilities, ensuring they meet stringent safety standards for clients. He has developed a strong track record of facilitating secure travel arrangements for international clients, drawing on a blend of technical expertise and hands-on coordination.
Prior to this role, Gabriel served as Control Room Manager and Head Controller & Vehicle Tracking Supervisor, where he led teams in managing CCTV systems, alarms, and vehicle tracking operations. His leadership extended to emergency response coordination, staff training, and maintaining seamless communication between clients and corporate management to enhance travel security protocols.
Gabriel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, multiple diplomas in Management Information Systems, and certifications in advanced data privacy and cybersecurity. His extensive experience combines leadership, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering comprehensive security solutions, aligning with REC Advisory Group’s mission of promoting safety and excellence in global service.
